An hour before...
Just an hour before "the big moment" Lily relaxes on our deck, thinking we're simply having a relaxing weekend together. Sean is just amazed that the picture came out straight, since he was so nervous!
A dramatization
Sean & Lily "reinact" the moment for posterity. :)
The ring!
She couldn't stop staring at it all weekend ...
Champagne The happy couple The next morning...
Champagne
Sean pops some champagne to celebrate.
The happy couple
"It's our first picture as an engaged couple!"
The next morning...
Lily admires the "moichendize"
Calling home Gab gab gab... Wimberley Square
Calling home
Lily calls her Mom & Dad: "I'm Engaged!"
Gab gab gab...
Lily calls everyone on earth to share the news. Meanwhile, Sean was still recovering from the two months of planning & stress to even have the energy to call anyone!
Wimberley Square
The next day, we relaxed at a cute coffee shop in Wimberley Square after spending all morning in the hot sun browsing ... junk ... at the local town's craft & antique fair. (Sean bought some "vintage" LEGO.) :)

"Relaxed and engaged"
Then we relaxed some more on the deck, listening to about 500 different types of birds chirping off in the distance. (And hey wait - that's not a starbux - it's from a cute coffee shop in Wimberley Square!)
Sean: relaxed
24 hours later, Sean's nerves are finally relaxed!
Lily in the sun
In a state of semi-hyper giddyness all weekend, Lily pauses before being consumed by immense light. :)

Our cottage
We had our own private cottage, the "San Gabriel room", at the top of a hill on 22 acres of beautiful countryside.
Sean in our room
Sean looks so pretty posing by the roses & the picnic basket.
Picture window Lazy Lily Slothy Sean
Picture window
When you looked out this huge (square!) picture-window over the jacuzzi tub, you couldn't see a single sign of civilization, except for a chimney buried in the trees 1/2 a mile away...
Lazy Lily
Lily was determined to sunburn even the undersides of her arms. :) She didn't :)
Slothy Sean
Meanwhile, Sean is determined to burn only the right side of his face. :)

Lily reads on the deck
This was the view from our private deck. Lily loved sitting out in the chairs and reading the stories of the people that have stayed at the cottage before us.
Sean and Lily sign the bedside register
Along with thanking the proprieters of the B&B, we couldn't let them forget how Sean left the sunroof and windows open in the Jetta and it thunderstormed all night.
Kneeling spot
The happy couple poses where Sean "popped the question".

As we headed home, we drove through the beautiful Wimberley, TX countryside.
